Medical Director
After studying biology in Mainz, Niels focused his doctoral thesis on individualized tumor immunology. He is the liaison between the customer and external experts, such as gynecologists and fertility experts who advise us as we continue our focus on furthering the development of femtech. He is responsible for inquiries, analyses, and consulting. One of his main objectives is to gather and provide scientific information for communications. Niels is the author of several medical papers and has presented his scientific findings at various international conferences.
Midwife
Ulrike Geppert-Orthofer graduated the University Women's Hospital in Tübingen in December 1997 as a midwife and has since worked as such in a wide variety of fields.
She wants to shape the future of midwifery and obstetrics for the benefit of women and children, while not losing sight of the current conditions. Her vision: a nationwide obstetrics service in Germany that focuses on the needs of women and ensures one-to-one care during childbirth.
Scientific Advisor
Dr. med Martin C. Koch is a member of the German Society for Gynecology and Obstetrics (DGGG). After studying medicine in Heidelberg and several stays abroad, Martin became a senior physician at the Erlangen University Hospital. As a member of the Advisory Board of Valley Electronics, he designs and performs new research around fertility tracking and the corresponding overall physiological changes.
Cycle Expert
Petra Schenke is a certified natural family planning (NFP) consultant and expert in fertility awareness-based methods and has been working in the field for over three decades. She is responsible for training new staff members and conducts personalized cycle analyses for our users. In her function as cycle expert, she helps pinpoint possible issues through the analysis of the cycle data collected by the users with the help of our devices. Scientific Advisor
Liya Haile manages research and programmatic activities for mobile health solutions at the Institute for Reproductive Health (IRH) at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. Liya has worked on female focused technology research for several years, and her experiences include leading the Dot app efficacy study and monitoring and evaluation of the CycleBeads app in several African countries. Prior to joining the IRH, Liya focused on research in reproductive biology, specifically IVF, and other assisted reproductive technologies.
